Sinopse por: Luís Nogueira O próprio autor resume assim a sua reflexão: "This study, based on a national survey, suggests that the tolerance of Portuguese photojournalists for computer manipulation of photos depends on the category of photographs. If in the United States newspaper photo editors differ significantly in their tolerance level of computer manipulation of spot-news, features and photo illustrations (Reaves, 1995), in Portugal the same thing happens with photojournalists, in general. In fact, Portuguese photojournalists are intolerant of altering spot-news photos and semi-previsible photos, a little bit more tolerant of altering feature photos and more tolerant of altering photo illustrations. However, they are more intolerant to computer manipulation, in general, than American photo editors (cf. Reaves, 1995)".
